Historic Savannah Foundation
Every building, whether it’s new or old, has its own story. Historic preservation is about learning those tales and being careful not to erase its pages during restoration. It’s about dusting it off and writing the next book in its series. The Historic Savannah Foundation’s mission is to continue Savannah’s story.
Pushing the idea of visual storytelling by created illustration-based ads that reflect the stories of each historic building. Its own voice and its own characteristics,we wanted to advertise these structures as if they were narratives.

Insight
When you attach a story to a building, it comes alive. It becomes relatable and memorable.
Currently, there is a small sign mounted on the outside of houses that are being renovated by HSF. This guerilla idea would be creating a illustrated banner that covered half the house drawing attention to the progress the HSF is doing to restore historic homes in Savannah.
